I have a strong desire to work with children in the educational world. I feel that education is the first stepping stone into a world that can be filled with unlimited possibilities! As a teacher, it is not my job to tell students where they will end up, or even guide them down one specific path in life. It is my job though to show them the paths they have in front of them and help them see what each path may or may not offer. The classroom should be a safe haven where students feel they are allowed to explore who they are (of course, keeping everyone safe and learning are key, but exploration happens in so many different ways that it does occur in the classroom within the daily tasks we do).
